2. Purpose of Data Processing

We use your information solely for:

  • Creating and maintaining your matrimonial profile.
  • Facilitating matches based on your preferences.
  • Processing your ₹100 listing fee securely.
  • Legal Compliance: Meeting statutory requirements for data logging.
Note: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party marketing companies.

3. Data Retention & Logging

In compliance with Indian Law, Silah maintains a record of your IP address and access logs for a period of one year after account deactivation or deletion. This data is kept securely to assist in any legal investigations if required by government authorities.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard SSL encryption and secure server protocols to protect your data. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. User Rights (Data Principal Rights)

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right to Access: View all information you have provided in your profile settings.
  • Right to Correction: Update or edit your data at any time.
  • Right to Erasure: You may delete your account. However, statutory logs will be retained for the mandatory 1-year period as per law.
  • Visibility Control: You can choose to hide your contact details or photos from the public through privacy settings.

6. Third-Party Services

We use secure third-party payment gateways to process fees. Silah does not store your credit/debit card or net banking credentials on our own servers.
